Preston Manor is proud to celebrate Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Between 17th to 21st March, it is a time dedicated to recognising and embracing the unique ways that people think, learn, and experience the world. Neurodiversity celebrates the variety of brain functions and behavioural traits, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and understanding.

During the week, Shanice (9S) and Colleen (8R) led an amazing presentation to staff about Neurodiversity, speaking confidently and delivering an engaging, informative session on why Neurodiversity is so important.

Additionally, a group of Neurodiverse students, supported by the SEN Team, created personalised planting pots with positive messages for all staff, thanking them for their continuous support. Neurodiversity Ambassadors handed out the pots, and we are eagerly awaiting the plants to grow.

Staff are encouraged to send a photo of their plant when it blooms, including themselves or their name, to Mr. Tancred for our Preston Manor Celebration Collage. Tutors also presented to all their form groups, sharing a presentation about the NDCW and the importance of inclusion and kindness. As we reflect on this week, we are reminded: "Always be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about."  Thank you to everyone who participated during the week.
