Year 12 Sixth Form Mental Health Committee
On Monday 18th March, a cohort of Year 12 students from the Sixth Form Mental Health Committee took part in the first part of Mental Health Champion training. The training was led by Ms Anand and focused on recognising some of the most common mental health issues that affect young people, completing 'stress buckets' and managing stress scales, role plays on how the Champions would support their peers and younger students who may be struggling with their wellbeing; as well as breathing/ grounding techniques to use for themselves and with those who may be struggling.
The second part of the training will be led by One Goal and take place after Easter, after which time the students will be certified as Mental Health Champions.
