Upper School Safeguarding Newsletter - February 2025

Thank you to all the parents who took the time to complete the Safeguarding survey earlier this term. Your feedback has been incredibly valuable, and we will carefully consider your suggestions and concerns as we discuss them with the Safeguarding Team.

I am pleased to share that the responses from the survey helped shape our first Safeguarding newsletter, which over 80% of you indicated you would like to receive. Additionally, it’s wonderful to note that over 80% of respondents expressed that they would report any safeguarding concerns to a member of our Safeguarding Team and were confident that their child has at least one safe person in school that they can talk to.

It was also good to know that parents see the safeguarding team as supportive and understand that we have a duty of care. That sometimes means we need to refer our concerns to outside agencies for them to take the lead about any further actions.

Safeguarding and child protection is everyone’s responsibility.  Please take the time to read our Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy, which gives a clear explanation and breakdown of everything safeguarding. Please feel free to contact the Safeguarding Team with any queries or concerns

Wishing all our families a well deserved half-term break

Ms N Thomas
Deputy DSL
